D&D 5th Edition Cleric Class Guide

Tricks

Prepare and cast spells
The cleric's table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells. To do so, you must spend a slot of the same level as the spell or higher. When you finish a long rest, you regain all the spell slots you have spent.
You prepare the list of spells you can cast: choose a number of cleric spells equal to your Wisdom modifier + your cleric level (minimum one spell). Spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For example, if you are a 3rd-level cleric, you have four 1st-level spell slots and two 2nd-level spell slots. With Wisdom 16, your ready spell list can include six 1st- or 2nd-level spells, in any combination. . If you prepare the 1st-level spell Heal Wounds, you can cast it using a 1st-level or 2nd-level slot. Casting the spell does not remove it from your list of prepared spells.
